Because I need yet one more method of internet-based social connectivity.
Recently I lent an old favorite novel of mine to my Mom. She returned it to me today. I have this habit of sticking mementos in the pages of my favorite books - leaves, pressed flowers, notes, or perhaps some receipt or scrap of paper I just use as a handy/cheap bookmark. Well- I hadn’t checked the book before giving it to her, it didn’t appear to have anything amidst it’s pages…
But when I got it back from her, I flipped through it - I found a pressed leaf (pretty!), a short-cut “how-to” booklet for my first cell phone and - a note from my ex who stalked me.
This is where the irony comes in - the book is by Louisa May Alcott and is called “A Long Fatal Love Chase” - it is about obsessive love and the whole book is about a young woman running for her life as she flees her psychotic husband while he stalks her to the ends of the earth. Ah….delicious, amusing and slightly terrifying irony!

Notice the sub-head for the book: “He stalked her every step - for she had become his obsession.”
I’m sort of glad I can laugh at this a little. Fun. (sarcasm)
